Swiss Entry Requirements

When you have been accepted as an exchange student in Bern you will have to prepare to enter and live in Switzerland as a foreigner.


According to Swiss law the Immigration Authority requires proof that you are sufficiently covered for health care and accidents during your stay in Switzerland.

ISEP Benefits

During a semester of your stay at the University of Bern you will receive a stipend for housing and meals of CHF 1500 for 4 months. The first installment will be paid in cash at the beginning of the semester.
